A heartless kitty killer hissed angrily at animal rights activists Wednesday, grinning widely as she took credit for stuffing the helpless pet into a 500-degree oven.

"It's dead, bitch!" snapped an unrepentant Cheyenne Cherry, sticking her tongue out after a plea bargain that will put her behind bars for a year in the May 6 killing of tiny Tiger Lily.

Cherry, 17, was confronted after her guilty plea in Bronx Supreme Court to charges of animal cruelty and attempted burglary in the May 6 killing at her former roommate's apartment.

Tiger Lily was left to die inside the blistering oven after Cherry and a 14-year-old friend trashed the apartment of Valerie Hernandez, destroying furniture before stealing DVDs and food.

After her arrest, Cherry told police the cat killing was "just a joke."

In court Wednesday, Cherry admitted to Judge Margaret Clancy that the younger girl put the cat in the oven - and "I didn't let the cat out."

The pair fled the apartment because they didn't want to hear the dying cat's cries or desperate scratching at the oven door, authorities said.

32-year-old Imran Hussain was found to be twice the legal blood alcohol limit, when masturbating and driving recklessly at speeds of up to 193km/h, when he smashed into the back of a car, killing the two of the three occupants.

Gary Proctor, 47, and his 16-year-old son James were heading to the airport for a planned trip to the United States.

According to testimony in the UK's Manchester Crown Court, motorist who came to Hussain's aid following the smash noticed that his penis was partially exposed, the Press Association reports.

A Vile gang of devil worshippers has killed and eaten four Russian teenagers in a sickening ritual.

The Satanists stabbed each of their victims a terrifying 666 times before dismembering their bodies and cooking them on a bonfire.

Russian cops discovered the teenager's limbs, hearts and scalps in a pit in the Yaroslavl region around 300 miles from Moscow, along with the dead body of a small rodent crucified on an upside-down cross.

The victims, three girls and one boy, all aged 16 and 17, disappeared from their homes in June.

But police only discovered the remains of Anya Gorokhova, Olga Pukhova, Varya Kuzmina and Andrei Sorokin last month.

The four pals – described as "Goths" – were lured one by one to a country cottage and were allegedly forced to get drunk before the revolting ritual began.

Hair from the victims was apparently found in the embers of the bonfire.

Cops arrested eight Satan worshippers in connection with the killings after finding out that all four victims had telephoned Nikolai Ogolobyak, the alleged leader of the Satan gang. His apartment lies just 250 metres from where their remains were discovered.

One of the arrested Satanists said: "Satan will help me to avoid responsibility, I made lots of sacrifices to him."

JUST seven weeks ago Pope Benedict XVI apologised for the "evil" of clergy sex abuse in Australia during his World Youth Day visit, but the legacy of predatory priests still preys on St Stanislaus' College in Bathurst.

While sex abuse by priests, brothers and teachers at Catholic schools and orphanages has been an issue since the 1980s, the arrest of three Vincentian priests who once taught at the school, coupled with the apparent suicide of a brother and the order's $40,000 payment to a former student - while permitting the priest he accused to continue contact with children - has irrevocably stained St Stanislaus.

"John", the 51-year-old local who received the payment after he accused Father Guy Hartcher of interfering with him when he was 14, told the Herald he now realised the school was a kind of "pedophile paradise".

He recalled priests "grooming" pupils with pornographic magazines, students hiding from staff members when they came "hunting" for first and second formers, and a teacher he knew by the nickname of "Toad" who was notorious for grabbing pupils by their privates if they answered questions incorrectly in class.

"We were all just kids at Stannies, a real smorgasbord," "John" said.

The first part of the prediction made reference to Gorbachev and Reagan, and the second to the fact that Russia joined the Group of Seven, now the G-8.

In the same way, she predicted some other events of world history. In 1989: The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel bird. The wolves will howl in the bush, and innocent blood will flow. It happened as predicted: The "Twin" towers of the World Trade Center in New York collapsed apparently because two commercial planes - "steel birds" - were flown into them. She predicted lots of things - the Chernobyl disaster, Boris Yeltsin's election win and so on. It is even said that Adolf Hitler left a visit with her looking very upset.

One of the popular predictions about Russia is that when the permafrost thaws and the floods come, nothing will survive on Earth but Russia. The climate will change and Russia will occupy the best inhabitable zone. Plus, Russia is predicted to herald in world peace and flourish in the face of good fortune.

Vanga also once said: "Everything melts away like ice yet the glory of Vladimir, the glory of Russia are the only things that will remain. Russia will not only survive, it will dominate the world."

Russia is on a roll with assorted victories. Whether we can believe that Russia will initiate world peace, however, remains to be seen.

Parikymppinen lievästi kehitysvammainen mies pahoinpideltiin useita kertoja viime keväänä Helsingissä, kertoo Iltalehti. Poliisi epäilee teoista neljää nuorta miestä, joita syytetään muun muassa kahdesta tapon yrityksestä ja törkeästä pahoinpitelystä.

Kihlakunnansyyttäjä Mika Mäkelän mukaan syytetyt syyllistyivät tapon yritykseen lyömällä ja potkimalla uhria useita kymmeniä kertoja päähän, vartaloon, käsiin ja jalkoihin. Apunaan he käyttivät paistinpannua, kattilaa ja wc-pöntön kantta.

Syyttäjän mukaan väkivallan taustalta ei ole löytynyt mitään järjellistä motiivia vaan teot on tehty huvin vuoksi ja kohdistettu uhriin tämän vammaisuuden takia. Uhri oli syyttäjän mukaan hengenvaarassa.

Epäillyt pahoinpitelyt tapahtuivat Iltalehden mukaan yksityisasunnossa viime huhtikuussa. Yksi epäillyistä on alle 18-vuotias. Jutun käsittely on alkanut Helsingin käräjäoikeudessa suljetuin ovin.

Onko satanismin suosio muka laskussa?

Satanismi näyttää olevan hiipumassa nuorison keskuuudessa. Joitakin vuosia sitten julkisuudessa kohistiin paljonkin saatananpalvonnasta ja satanismista, nyt tilanne on kuitenkin Kirkon tutkimuskeskuksen tutkijan Kimmo Ketolan mukaan muuttumassa.

- Satanismi oli 1990-luvun lopulla nuorisokulttuurin trendi, joka oli levinnyt hyvinkin voimakkaasti. Tällä hetkellä se näyttäisi kuitenkin olevan ohi.

Tilalle ei Ketolan mukaan myöskään ole tulossa yksiselitteistä ja selkeää vaihtoehtoa.

- Tietenkin erilaiset uuspakanalliset virtaukset ovat edelleen aika lailla voimissaan nuorten keskuudessa. Mutta ne eivät suinkaan ole ainoita, vaan nuorten kiinnostus hajaantuu aika moneen suuntaan, hän huomauttaa.

Uuspakanallisissa liikkeissä arvellaan olevan vakavammin mukana 500-1000 ihmistä.

Three teenage girls along with their two close elderly relatives were shot at before being buried alive in a desert of Balochistan by their tribesmen in the name of honour.

The shocking reports of this horrible incident reaching the capital from different quarters revealed that the girls studying in classes 10 to 12 intended to marry men of their choice through a civil court by defying the centuries-old tribal traditions. When the fuming elders of Umrani tribe came to know about the intentions of these girls to appear before a local court, they picked them up from their homes along with two of their elderly women relatives. The crying girls were pushed into official cars and driven to a deserted area. There they were pushed out of the cars, made to stand in a queue and volleys of shots fired at them.

As the bleeding girls fell on the sand, the tribesmen dragged them into a nearby ditch and levelled it with earth and stones before the girls could breathe their last. As the two shocked elderly women tried to rescue the hapless girls, they too were gunned down and buried in the same manner.

The killers after burying these women returned to their tribe like conquerors without any action against them. The step taken was to send a loud message to the re)=st of the tribe’s girls. Father of these girls lodged an FIR with the police against his own brother, who was said to be the architect of this crime. But after some family pressure, he withdrew the case and so the blood of those girls was forgiven in the name of centuries-old tradition, which does not allow any girl of the tribe to contract marriage of her choice.
